About Us

Ten Foot Stripes

Hey there! We’re Tommy and Cerinia—born, raised, and still stubbornly living in the country. Dirt under our nails? Check. Stars overhead? Always. Fire in the grill? Almost every night. And every now and then, even the simplest things need a little tech magic to keep them running smoothly.

Ten Foot Stripes started as a way to keep track of our adventures—camping trips, country living, and the occasional campfire mishap… plus whatever random tech setup we’ve decided needs “improving” that week. Along the way, we jot down what worked, what didn’t, and what we might try differently next time.

We also like slowing down and noticing the little things, which is why we call this blog Ten Foot Stripes. The stripes on the road that we travel on our adventures are ten feet long—most people only see two—but if you slow down, you see the bigger picture. That’s our philosophy on life too.

We’ve gone from tents to a pop-up to a hard-sided camper—we call it Gravity, because it keeps us grounded. Over time, we’ve added our own little touches—automations, sensors, clever hacks—so it’s part home, part experiment, part “did that just work?” Either way, it’s all part of the fun.

If you like country living, campfire cooking, exploring without leaving civilization behind, or just laughing at the chaos of everyday life, stick around. We promise a few stories that will make you say, “Yep, only them.”
