Meet Campy: Our 2023 Flagstaff E-Pro 15TB Camper Trailer

Every adventure begins with a solid foundation, and for us, that foundation is our 2023 Flagstaff E-Pro 15TB. We purchased the rig in October of 2023, and since then, it has quickly become an essential part of our adventures. Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Campy—a remarkable tiny trailer with all the features and specs we need to make those adventures happen.

Why We Chose the Flagstaff E-Pro 15TB

When it comes to choosing a camper trailer, there are endless options on the market. We spent countless hours researching, comparing, and debating before we finally settled on the 2023 Flagstaff E-Pro 15TB. What drew us to this model was its perfect balance of compact size, modern amenities, and off-road capability—ideal for our adventurous spirit.

Here’s why the Flagstaff E-Pro 15TB stood out:

1. Compact and Lightweight: At just under 16 feet long and with a dry weight under 2,800 pounds, our trailer is easy to tow. We specifically wanted the compact size so we could tow it with our 2015 4Runner.
2. Versatile Floor Plan: The 15TB offers a versatile layout that can be adapted to suit different needs. Whether we’re set up for a weekend getaway or a longer journey, the interior can transform from a comfortable sleeping area into a functional dining and living space.
3. Off-Road Ready: With its rugged construction, torsion axle, and off-road tires, the E-Pro 15TB is built for adventure. We love exploring less-traveled roads and remote campsites, and it handles these challenges with ease.
4. Self-Sufficiency: We wanted a rig that didn’t require us to be tied to a shore power pedestal every night. The E-Pro series is built for this, featuring factory solar and efficient 12V appliances that allow us to stay powered up and functional even when we’re miles away from the nearest hookup.

Exterior Features

Let’s start with the outside. The Flagstaff E-Pro 15TB might be compact, but it’s packed with features that make life on the road more comfortable and convenient.

1. Durable Construction: It is built with aluminum framing in the walls, floor, and roof. This provides a rigid, durable skeleton while keeping the weight low enough to be easily towable.
2. Off-Road Capabilities: Equipped with 15-inch off-road tires and an independent torsion axle suspension, the rig handles rougher terrain with ease. It gives us a lot of confidence when the pavement ends and the gravel begins.
3. 200-Watt Rooftop Solar: While many units come “pre-wired,” we have a factory-installed 200-watt solar panel on the roof. We don’t do a lot of traditional boondocking, but the solar is invaluable while traveling. It keeps the batteries topped off so that when we pull over for a quick overnight stop, we have all the power we need for lights, the water pump, and our entertainment needs without needing a hookup.
4. Power Awning: One of our favorite convenience features. With the push of a button, we can create an outdoor “patio” in seconds, perfect for a quick lunch break or a rainy afternoon.
5. Outdoor Shower: Essential for cleaning off gear, muddy boots, or sand before stepping inside. It’s a small detail that helps keep the interior of a compact trailer manageable.
6. Undermount Spare Tire: Our spare is mounted underneath the chassis rather than on the rear bumper. This keeps the weight low and centered and leaves the back of the trailer clean.

Interior Features and Layout

Step inside, and you’ll find a space that’s both cozy and functional. The interior of the 2023 Flagstaff E-Pro 15TB is designed to maximize every inch.

1. Aluminum Bed Frame: The focus on durability continues inside; even the bases for the twin beds are constructed with aluminum framing.
2. Twin Bed/King Bed Conversion: The 15TB layout is incredibly versatile. It features two twin beds that provide a central walkway during the day but can easily convert into a large king-size bed when it’s time to turn in.
3. Ample Storage: The E-Pro 15TB makes smart use of every available space. There are overhead cabinets and generous under-bed storage, so we have plenty of room for clothes, gear, and essentials.
4. Kitchenette: Our setup includes a three-burner cooktop, a microwave/convection oven, and a 12V refrigerator. It’s a highly efficient workspace for making meals on the road.
5. Entertainment Setup: Our entertainment needs are met with a factory-installed 32-inch TV that includes an FM radio. To keep us online wherever we go, we installed an aftermarket LTE wireless router, which provides a reliable internet connection for all our devices and allows us to use a Firestick to stream content.
6. Wet Bath: Having a full bathroom in such a small trailer is a luxury. The wet bath includes a toilet and a shower, which means no more restroom stops at public restrooms and making it easy to stay fresh and clean no matter where we are.
7. Efficient Heating and Cooling: The E-Pro 15TB is equipped with a 13,500 BTU roof-mounted air conditioner and a 20,000 BTU furnace, keeping us comfortable in a wide range of climates.

On the Road

The Flagstaff E-Pro 15TB is designed to be easy to tow, maneuver, and set up, which makes our adventures smoother.

1. Towing Ease: With its lightweight design, it is a breeze to tow. We appreciate the stability and control, even on winding mountain roads.
2. Compact Maneuverability: One of the biggest advantages of the 15TB is its footprint. Its small size allows us to fit into tight campsites and remote spaces that most other campers simply can’t access, giving us way more options when looking for a spot for the night.
3. Setup and Teardown: The power tongue jack, stabilizer jacks, and straightforward connections make the process quick and hassle-free.
4. Travel Ready: Having a 31-gallon fresh water tank, 12-gallon black and grey holding tanks, and our 200W solar setup ensures we can venture off the beaten path or stop for the night wherever we find ourselves without sacrificing comfort.
